Business Development Manager (High Street Retail)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and high-energy Business Development Manager to join our team in Singapore. The primary function of this role is to help accelerate the growth of sales in APAC by connecting with high street retailers in the region and create new commercial opportunities with them.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Identify new business opportunities and acquire high-street retailer client base in APAC (focus on Singapore and Malaysia)
  • Generate and grow monthly recurring revenue (MRR) by adding new and growing revenues from existing clientele
  • Sell our technology products to APAC based high street retail brands (inbound and outbound)
  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Be an evangelist for our products
  • Understand and effectively communicate the benefits of our products
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and our on-boarding team
  • Work collaboratively to help foster a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Continuously maintain an accurate Pipeline and Opportunity status in our CRM-system
  • Work with our Sales Team to forecast accurately

Requirements

  • Strong Sales track record, experience selling to high-street retail is a plus
  • Genuine interest and experience in using, discussing and selling technology
  • Honest and convincing nature to promote the true values of our products
  • Able to present well, have an engaging personality
  • Analytical capability to continuously refine and look for specific prospect and lead characteristics that will lead to new and lasting client relationships
  • Value long-term customer success
  • Have an eye on the bottom line, with a focus on value-based pricing
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment
  • Proven track record in sales and hitting targets consistently
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Business acumen and ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

The right candidate will come from a Retail Technology Sales background, ideally in a SaaS business with a minimum of 5 years experience.
